Conspicuous words about Web 2.0 on BFA: Asad Jamal: I have known about this kind of concept or model before, which is a slow process of accumulation, not a sudden change. In fact, we should name it Web 1.0 instead of Web 2.0.

A lot of famous investment companies attended BFA this year, including: Stepen Roach, Chief Economist of Morgan Stanley; Kevan Watts, chairman of Merrill Lynch International Inc.; Gary COULL, chairman of CLSA; Vincent CHENG, chairman of HSBC, and so on. The investor of Baidu, Asad Jamal, co-chairman and managing director of DFJ ePlanet Ventures, also attended the forum. According to the introduction of Asad Jamal, since 2000, ePlanet Ventures has extended to global venture capital opportunities, with the first target of China. With ePlanet Ventures’ help, some Chinese entrepreneurs, who had difficulties in fundraising during their start-up period, raised money successfully. For example, it had a good cooperation with Baidu and KongZhong, and both of them got great success. Now it has an office in Shanghai and plans to further develop Chinese investment market. That is also one of the reasons that Asad Jamal came to attend this forum.
