Jerry Ilhyun Cho is a Managing Director in the Shanghai and Singapore offices. Mr. Cho pursues disruptive technology investments in new emerging sectors in China and Korea that are driven by digital multimedia convergence. He focuses on new wireless services and associated hardware components and devices, fabless semiconductor chip design, location-based service solutions, electronic components and modules, flat screen displays, and various electronic devices. Prior to joining ePlanet, Mr. Cho spent nine years at Samsung Electronics, where he started as a chip designer before moving on to strategic planning for various new technologies developed at Samsung. Leveraging his experience at Samsung, he started his venture capital career in Korea at a local venture capital firm covering the telecom service, chip design, and the advanced parts and components sectors. Mr. Cho has an M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronic Engineering at Dongguk University, Seoul, Korea.
