Chandrasekar Kandasamy is a Managing Director in the Bangalore office. Mr. Chandrasekar brings over 16 years of India - based private equity/venture capital experience in the technology sector to the ePlanet team. Previously, Mr. Chandrasekar worked for five years with The Carlyle Group as a Director and Vice President. In this capacity, Mr. Chandrasekar launched Carlyle's Indian operations, co-led investments and held seats on the Board of Directors of a range of successful Indian-based technology venture capital investments including FSS, Quest, Newgen, Worldzen, and Learning Mate. He also evaluated and executed a number of non-technology opportunities in sectors such as auto ancillaries, healthcare, services, and textiles. Prior to Carlyle, Mr. Chandrasekar worked for Intel Capital, where he was the Manager of Strategic Investments in India. Mr. Chandrasekar began his career at ICICI Ventures where he worked for ten years. As an Assistant Vice President at ICICI Ventures, he sourced and managed a team of four investment professionals and monitored approximately 80 portfolio investments. Mr. Chandrasekar was a World Bank - sponsored intern at Poly Ventures in New York, holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Anna University in Chennai, India, and earned an MBA from the Bharathidasan Institute of Management.
